Georgia Gantt is a North Carolina native who has claimed Asheville as home for the majority of her life. She has watched Western North Carolina grow and change over the years, and has built a solid network of business and social connections.
Georgia has been involved in the local and regional LGBT community her entire adult life, and works almost exclusively with lesbian and gay individuals and couples who are relocating to the Asheville area. She understands the challenges of finding the right neighborhood, the best house and all of the planning associated with moving. Whether you seek a downtown condo in the heart of the city, a quaint cabin near the best hiking and mountain biking trails, a brand new home or a fixer upper, Georgia knows where to look and how to find the perfect place for you. Her knowledge about the region and longevity in Asheville and the gay and lesbian community make her a valuable resource for newcomers to the area.
Most importantly, Georgia Gantt loves her job! Before entering real estate, she made use of her B.S. in Accounting and M.A. in Education as a high school educator and then owner of her own financial planning business. Real estate is a perfect match for Georgia as she enjoys meeting new people and connecting them to the Asheville community. After working for several years at a large real estate company in Asheville, Georgia opened her own company, Sunrise Properties. She chose the name because she sees every home purchase, or sale, as a bright new beginning – or the dawning of a new day – for her clients. A member of the Western North Carolina Green Building Council, Georgia is an ECO certified agent and stays up to date on local trends in newly built and renovated green homes.
Georgia has high expectations of herself. She listens carefully to your desires and goals, looks out for your bests interests, negotiates your best price, keeps you informed and ensures that the process to closing goes as smoothly as possible. According to Georgia, “I pay attention to detail and believe that if I listen to my clients and represent their bests interests above all else, then we will all have a rewarding experience. It’s a fun process and I’m patient.”
Georgia enjoys golf, gardening, nature, reading and
socializing with friends. Most of all she likes to spend
time with her dogs, Sunny and Jake. She also
volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and Asheville
Humane Society, and is an ambassador for th
e annual WNCAP Dining Out For Life event.
Georgia adopted Jake from Sarge’s Animal Rescue in
Waynesville when he was a puppy. He had three sisters.
She adopted Sunny from the Asheville Humane Society.
She was picked up as a stray. They guessed she was
about 6 months old at the time. Both dogs have brought
plenty of fun, entertainment, and love into Georgia’s life.
